Last year, Gardeen HA had to enlist the help of drainage experts to clean underground pipes. The problem came about because of things like cooking fat and wee bits of food in water coming from homes.
While the cleaning of dishes is not really our business, paying contractors to clean out pipes is. All we are asking you to do is scrape any food off of plates and also wipe any grease out of pots before sticking them in the sink.
With your cooperation, hopefully the garden areas around the scheme will be free from any horrible gunge and smell lovely. Also, we can save money by not having to get pipe cleaners. Win- win for everyone!
